The MEDC is pleased to announce the Fall 2016 round of the Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) Best Practice Training Series! The trainings are aimed at building capacity of local governments in communities eager to work toward and adopt RRC best practices.
What’s the benefit?
Participants in the sessions will receive detailed information, examples and implementation steps for all six of the Best Practices. Experts in each Best Practice will lead the session and provide participants with explanations of the RRC evaluation criteria and how to include RRC elements into their planning policies and procedures.
If a participant attends all six of the Best Practice Training sessions, they will receive a certificate of completion, which will signal to communities, city officials and developers that the community to taking proactive steps toward becoming Redevelopment Ready.
*Completion of the training series is required for any community looking to formally engage in RRC.

Best Practice One – Community Plans and Public Outreach
Best Practice Two – Zoning Regulations
Best Practice Three – Development Review Process
For your convenience, we will be offering all training sessions at no cost. If however, you sign up and cannot make it to the training, please notify the RRC team at RRC@michigan.org to avoid a $50 cancellation fee.
You will receive an email prior to your training(s) with additional information, including parking instructions, etc.
