Certification Requirements

Short examinations are given after each presentation.  Results will be posted by the number printed on the back of your name badge after each exam.  A satisfactory score on the following six subjects is required to receive FDA Certification:
               Chapter 2 – Microbiology of Thermally Processed Foods
               Chapter 4 – Principles of Thermal Processing
               Chapter 5 – Principles Food Plant Sanitation
               Chapter 6 – Food Container Handling
               Chapter 7 – Records and Recordkeeping
               Chapter 8 – Equipment, Instrumentation, and Operation for Thermal Processing
Other chapters (Chapters 3, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16) completed and where a satisfactory grade is obtained will be listed on the registrant’s certificate.
