This workshop will provide a detailed review of the clinical applications of 3D echo in the evaluation of pediatric congenital & acquired heart disease, including the assessment of structural pathology, evolution & mechanisms of valve failure, myocardial function and its use in guiding intervention. Future directions in this exciting and rapidly evolving field will also be explored. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will have a concrete understanding of basic principles and pitfalls of 3D echo with opportunities for hands-on data acquisition, processing and analysis. They will learn practical clinical applications of 3D echo in pre and post surgical assessments and planning.
