Program Overview

Basic Life Support CPR

The BLS Course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-valve-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED, and relief of a Foreign Body Airway Obstruction. The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients in a wide variety of settings, both in and out of hospital

At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:

1. Demonstrate on a manikin the current sequences and techniques of  adult, child and infant CPR

2. Use of an Automated Defibrillator (AED)
3. Relief of a foreign airway obstruction for adult, child and infant victims.
