Board of Review Training in Plover - 4/25/17

Sec. 70.46 (4), Wis. Stats., requires that one voting member of every local Board of Review (BOR) attends an approved training session within two years of the board's first meeting.

The WI DOR has trained several WMCA volunteers as certified trainers and we offer training sessions every Spring around the State. Attending this session, you will attain the required BOR certification for the next 2 years from the date of the class.

This program is for all board of review members. The video focuses on conducting the minimum two-hour Board of Review meeting required by Wis. Stat. § 70.47 (3).

The program ends with a review of the exam and provides you with the correct answers. You do not have to achieve a certain score to be certified as having completed your training. The main purpose of the exam is to guide you in preparing for your board of review. Completing the exam and filing it with your clerk is required for certification.

Forms, outlines and a list of online resources are provided in a materials packet to further assist you in your role as a BOR member.

The law requires at least one Board of Review member to be certified every two years. Whether you are a voting member of the BOR or the clerk of BOR you have responsibilities when it comes to Board of Review. Is this the year you need to certify again? This is the class for you.

Check in opens 15 minutes before the class start time.
