Boulder, CO - Intermediate I & Group Case Consult - November 9-12, 2018

Summary & Registration Information

This four-day Intermediate I training module is the 4th of 8 modules constituting the Somatic Experiencing Professional Training.

Intermediate I Course Objectives:

  1. Identify the hallmarks and common symptoms of a nervous system displaying Global High Intensity Activation (GHIA). 
  2. Identify the key defensive impulses, symptoms and typical coping mechanisms of pre-and peri-natal trauma.
  3. Comprehend the dynamics of symptom formation from fetal distress trauma.
  4. Demonstrate understanding of, and skills in working with, High Impact Accidents/Failure of Physical Defense (motor vehicle accidents, falls, etc).
  5. Demonstrate understanding of, and skills in working with inescapable attack (animal attack, rape, sexual abuse, escape inhibited).


Students are STRONGLY encouraged to attend the first six modules (Beginning and Intermediate-levels) at the same training location to support a strong and cohesive group learning environment. If you are unable to attend one of your local training modules, you may request to take a module in an alternate location (if space is available) or to make up one of your Beginning or Intermediate modules by DVD.
