Program Description:
The prevailing winds lead us to pursue wealth and recognition - yet once achieved these shiny things often leave us feeling empty and without purpose. We explore the road less traveled and discuss the eulogy virtues that bring hope, healing, and meaning to life.

Speaker Bio:
John Chuck, M.D., is the Regional Chairperson of the Physician Health & Wellness Leaders Group for The Permanente Medical Group, the nation's largest multi-specialty group practice comprised of 9000 physicians serving 4 million patients in Northern California. He also serves as the Chief of Health Promotion and Information Technology Innovation for Kaiser Permanente in the Roseville/Sacramento region. His areas of interest include work life balance, physician burnout, and resilience training. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley and the UCLA School of Medicine and did his family medicine residency and chief residency at the UC Davis Medical Center. John is the founder and CEO of Serotonin Surge Charities, 501c3 nonprofit organization that raises money for safety net medical clinics; a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians; a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum; and a UC Davis Foundation Trustee Emeritus. His work has been recognized with the Sidney Garfield Exceptional Contribution Award from The Permanente Medical Group (2004) and the Outstanding Alumnus Award from the UC Davis Alumni Association (2014).
