Summary

Join us for our October luncheon on Wednesday, October 11!

Time and again, we are deluged with generational stereotypes that point out how we are all different. Baby Boomers are workaholics and like face-to-face meetings, while GenXers focus on self-reliance and prefer to complete tasks quickly, and Millennials expect immediacy and see work as a means to an end.

Join us Wednesday, October 11, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., as we welcome Dr. Stevie Dawn Blakely to guide us in a discussion on our generational similarities. As CEO of Orange Compass, a corporate training company located in Fort Worth, Stevie Dawn specializes in emotional intelligence strategies and enjoys challenging people to change their workplace behaviors.

Pro/Am Shadow Day
The GFW PRSA is also pleased to announce a professional/amateur (student) shadow day. Students from area universities will have an opportunity to look inside the life of a professional communicator. The benefits of our Pro/Am day are many: seeing a real public relations/ communications professional at work, gaining valuable networking experience and making a professional contact.

Schedule:

8 – 11:30 a.m. – Student shadows a PRSA member at his or her place of business.

11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Students attend the October monthly luncheon of the Greater Fort Worth Chapter at The City Club in downtown Fort Worth with their PRSA members.

Student interest: Students should send an email to Claire Olson, clairegolson@att.net.

Professional interest: PRSA members should email Beth Lamb, gfwprsaprograms@gmail.com.
