Successful completion of this course fulfills the instructor training mandated by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) for those instructors desiring to teach Broker Responsibility. However, before an education provider can hire an instructor to teach Broker Responsibility, the provider must confirm that the instructor also meets the minimum requirements to teach qualifying courses. Effective September 1, 2019, instructors of qualifying courses must meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a college degree in real estate and have three years of teaching or training experience; or
• Have five years of active experience as a real estate license holder and three years of teaching or training experience; or
• The equivalent of the above as determined by an education provider after consideration of the instructor’s professional experience, research, authorship, or other significant endeavors in real estate.

Instructors of Real Estate Brokerage and the Broker Responsibility course must:
have at least five years of experience as an active broker, and
satisfy the minimum requirements to teach qualifying courses.

*Late arrivals will not be allowed to stay for the course, will not be given a refund and will not be granted credit.
