Budget and Audit 101 - Grand Junction

Are you new to Local Government finance in Colorado? Do you need a better understanding of the budget requirements and process? Would it be helpful to know how demographic trends might impact your future revenues and expenditures? Do you know why and audit is required for your local government and what it involves? All of these questions and more will be discussed at the Colorado Local Government Budget and Audit 101. Representatives from the Department of Local Affairs and the Office of the State Auditor will present general and basic concepts of local government finance, economy, demographics and other aspects that local governments may use in the preparation of their annual budgets, financial statements, and in the general day to day operations.
