This full-day session, presented by The Strategies Center at Youth for Change™, will provide professional development and program assessment for trauma-informed practice, problem-solving, and action planning.What to Expect:• Learn to build trauma-informed home visiting skills and approaches.• Understand the prevalence of trauma in families participating in home visiting and the signs of the presence of trauma.• Recognize how trauma affects families participating in home visiting.• Explore trauma-informed approaches to home visiting.• Use and connect to trauma-informed assessment and intervention.• Learn objectives for a trauma-informed system of support for infants and toddlers.• Use a two-generation approach to assist parents with taking action that builds strength and resiliency.• Discuss ways for a home visitor to handle disclosure of trauma.• Learn to ask probing questions that support parent resiliency.• Explore ways that your agency’s home visiting program(s) can increase their trauma-informed practice and concretely plan for actions that enhance trauma-informed work.Who Should Attend• Home visitors• Social service providers• Anyone else working with families and childrenFees:General Admission: $89Continuing Education Certification (optional): $35Refund/Cancellation Policy: (1) If you cancel more than 7 days before the training date, you will be refunded your registration fee less a $15 cancellation fee; (2) If you cancel 0-7 days before the training date, no refund will be given. $25 late registration fee for all registrations received after the deadline.
