Building Nonprofit Infrastructure

Dr. Sherece West-Scantlebury will discuss how strategic support and good grant making practices can help nonprofits achieve our “Moving the Needle” goals and their missions.

WRF values developing, supporting, and participating in partnerships that allow us to attract the support, expertise, and resources of others in the public and private sectors. The mission of the Foundation depends on existence and sustainability of our nonprofit grantees.

For Arkansas to have a thriving nonprofit community, we believe that our grantees and potential grantees must have strong, visionary, and effective leadership; access to adequate funding; and sustainable funding sources.

The Foundation supports the nonprofit infrastructure in Arkansas by providing grantees with technical assistance and operating support; by supporting learning networks, staff development, and peer interaction; and by supporting organizations like the Arkansas Nonprofit Alliance to build the state’s nonprofit infrastructure.
