Engaging Each Generation as Volunteers, Employees, and Board Members

Ten years ago, the generation known as the Baby Boomers was 40% of the US workforce.  In 7 years, the generation known as the Millennials is projected to make up 75% of the workforce. In addition to these demographic changes, societal changes around student debt, legal compliance, technology and more are altering how nonprofits carry out their mission and engage with our communities.

In response to these challenges, MNA is intensifying our focus on leading in a multi-generational organization in the nonprofit sector.

Building Tomorrow’s Nonprofits workshops will equip nonprofit board and staff members with information, resources and tools they need to communicate through the tensions to successfully engage next generation volunteers, board members and employees in their mission.

From managing multiple generations in the workplace to evaluating HR policies, developing career pathways, prioritizing work/life balance, and leveraging a cause-oriented workplace, workshop participants will gain an understanding how they can best position their organization to be a top choice for the next generations of nonprofit leaders.
