Pre-Con Community-Based Boot Camp

Palliative Care in Home, Office/Clinic and Long Term Care Settings

A daylong intensive “boot camp” for those looking to start new palliative care services in community settings including home, office/clinic and long term care. From needs assessment to business planning to financing to service design and staffing, this intensive workshop provides a road map for planning new community-based palliative care programs. Attend Boot Camp to learn the nuts and bolts of program design from national leaders in community-based palliative care, and build upon what you learned by attending community sessions during the Seminar.

Keynote and Plenary Sessions from national leaders on the most critical topics in palliative care delivery, payment and quality measurement

Intensive and Concurrent Sessions providing solutions for mission-critical issues such as coordinating services across settings, embedding services in subspecialty clinics, engaging colleagues in palliative care training and implementation of quality advance care planning

New Topics including leadership development, the role of telehealth, getting the most out of your electronic medical records (EMR), addressing health equity, developing community partnerships and coalition building in pediatric palliative care

Office Hours to pose questions to the faculty of your choice. You’ll also be able to solve problems and share tips and strategies with your peers.
