Based on the 12 competency areas outlined in the National Career Development Association (NCDA) Career Development Facilitator curriculum, the Career Development Facilitator (CDF) Certification program provides coaches at Virginia’s community colleges with the frameworks and tools needed for effective career coaching.VCCS will offer two sessions of the CDF program. All coaches and staff who have completed the VCCC are eligible to enroll. The CDF program consists of 80 hours of additional training comprised of face-to-face and webinar sessions, research, and project-based learning. Participants who complete the VCCC and CDF programs earn the national Career Development Facilitator Certification and are eligible to apply for the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).To complete the CDF program, participants must sign up for one of the following cohorts:
* In case of cancellation due to inclement weather, a make-up session will be held on Feb. 2-3, 2017.
Participants are expected to attend the face-to-face sessions and three webinars assigned to their cohort and should plan accordingly. All CDF face-to-face sessions will be held over two days at the VCCS offices at the Arboretum in Richmond from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. (day 1) and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (day 2).

NOTE: If you enter the building through the front entrance, you are actually on the Second Floor. The training event is one level down on the First Floor.
