Case Conceptualization & Treatment Planning


This advanced mental health training spans two (2) days and is specifically designed for clinicians who provide therapy in a children's advocacy center setting.

Participants will explore ongoing case conceptualization to direct choice and intensity of the treatment intervention. The curriculum highlights comprehensive assessment processes using child/parent self-report, collateral reports, and clinical judgment as well as strategies to bolster resiliency factors and prevent or minimize post-traumatic stress symptoms in children who do not need a full course of TF-CBT.

Format: This interactive program includes lecture on and discussion around current research and best practices, hands on activities, and role play.

Prerequisites: Current employment with or contractor of a local children’s advocacy center in the state of Texas as a mental health clinician and completion of a TF-CBT Learning Collaborative.

Approval Process: Acceptance into this training is on a first come, first serve basis. *Registration will be canceled for registrants who do not meet the prerequisites listed above.

CEU Credits: 12.5 Hours (LSW/LPC/LMFT)
