Course Description 

Dr. Douglas Chenin helps to clarify questions surrounding CBCT imaging for implant planning such as “Where to start?” or “What anatomy to look at?” and “How do I work with surgical guides?” and much more.  This course is designed to help provide the foundations necessary to approach CBCT imaging for implant planning in a methodical manner. This lecture is perfect for anybody interested in using CBCT imaging for implant planning and surgical guides, either on their own or to facilitate case planning and collaboration with colleagues.

 

Course Objectives

 • Conceptualize how CBCT imaging enhances the diagnostic potential and accuracy of implant planning
    beyond traditional 2D images.
 • Assess and visualize patient CBCT data properly in 3D and 2D cross-sections for virtual implant planning
   and to summarize which anatomical structures are critical to examine.
 • Discuss the terminology, capabilities, and tools needed for the various levels of control that surgical guides
    offer.
• Review surgical guide and scanning protocols for multiple different case types and treatment plans.
