Central Airway Obstruction with Dr. Scott Oh

The purpose of this one-day program is to increase cognitive and technical skills knowledge regarding interventional bronchoscopy as relevant to managing inoperable malignant CAO, benign strictures, and broncho- or tracheoesophageal fistulas.

Target audience:
Intended audience will include academic and community pulmonologists and thoracic
surgeons performing bronchoscopy.

1. Define the use of interventional bronchoscopy in cases of fixed and dynamic, malignant and benign central airway obstruction
2. Outline the indications and contraindications for performing airway stent insertion
3. Define the role of bronchoscopy for follow up post stent insertion
4. Outline the various techniques for managing stent –related adverse events
