From Body Art to Unisex Bathrooms: an HR’s Professional’s Guide to the   Employment Law Galaxy.

Keynote Speaker Bio:

Walter has over 25 years of experience representing companies in all aspects of employment law and related litigation, including wage and hour class actions and suits involving trade secret theft, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. He also routinely counsels clients on employment law matters, provides advice on employment issues arising from complex business transactions, and negotiates employee benefits and employment agreements on behalf of companies and executives.

Walter is a frequent speaker on employment law topics.  He has been a guest lecturer at U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and USF School of Management, and he is consistently rated among the top speakers at conferences sponsored by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Northern California Human Resource Association (“NCHRA”).  Walter also regularly writes on employment law topics.  He currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Bender’s California Labor & Employment Bulletin and previously served as the employment law columnist for the Northern California Association of Business Trial Lawyers. 

Walter’s extensive writing and speaking has made him a recognized thought leader on California employment law topics.  He has appeared on radio programs for KQED and has been quoted in newspaper articles discussing current employment law issues.  He has been selected as a contributing author for Aspatore’s “Thought Leadership” series on Employment Law, as well as its “Inside the Minds” series on Negotiating and Drafting Employment Agreements.  

Walter has been selected for inclusion in the list of Best Lawyers in America since 2013, and in the list of Northern California Super Lawyers since 2014.
