Informatics … it can refer to “big data,” analytics, visualization or a host of other IT-related terms that describe the collection and analysis of data in new ways to drive strategic business insights. Informatics is one of the most important areas of study emerging today.

The College of Computing and Informatics (CCI), at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte has partnered with the Belk College of Business, the Charlotte Research Institute, and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce to host the first-ever Charlotte Informatics Conference.
When: May 15, 2012, from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Charlotte. An optional session at 7:30 a.m. will provide an introduction to informatics.
