Charlotte Informatics 2012: Competing and Winning through Analytics
Informatics … it can refer to “big data,” analytics, visualization or a host of other IT-related terms that describe the collection and analysis of data in new ways to drive strategic business insights. Informatics is one of the most important areas of study emerging today.
McKinsey Global Institute calls “big data”
“The next frontier for innovation, competition and productivity.”
Companies that employ informatics in the strategy and management of their businesses are outgrowing and outperforming their competitors. By creating an informatics-educated workforce, Charlotte region companies can develop business advantages and differentiation. This program features internationally-renowned speakers who will educate participants on the value of Informatics, the impact it can have on your business, and will discuss the urgent need and upcoming nationwide shortage of informatics professionals, which UNC Charlotte is already addressing.
