Do you love to go out to Chinese restaurants and wish you could re-create those wonderful tastes in your own home? Come join one of our professional chefs in a fun and informative hands-on Chinese cooking workshop! You will experience some of the key ingredients, cooking equipment, and techniques involved in preparing a delicious Chinese meal, with an appetizer, two main dishes, and fried rice. This workshop will give you the confidence you need to start cooking tasty Chinese meals in your own home kitchen.
Participants will prepare and taste a menu including some of the following dishes:
- Spring or Egg Rolls - Pork Shu Mai (steamed dumplings) - Wonton Soup - Hong Kong Chicken - Szechuan Shrimp - Kung Pao Chicken - Bean Curd (Tofu) in Oyster Sauce - Fried Rice
Participants will sample foods prepared onsite for further evaluation and will also take away an assortment to share with their friends and family - so please bring a few containers for transport!
This is a great course for friends or family members to take together. This course requires no previous kitchen or cooking experience, but due to the nature of this course and the work performed in our professional kitchen, participants must wear long pants, long sleeves, and flat, closed-toe shoes. The course length is approximate and will vary based on the number of participants and other factors.
This course is suitable for ages 14+.
