The Conference on Instruction & Technology (CIT) is SUNY's largest and most prominent event on instructional technology in educating, providing a forum for faculty, instructional support professionals, and policymakers to present, discuss, and explore innovative avenues for integrating technology into the teaching and learning environment.
The theme for CIT 2013 Transformation in Higher Education: Sharing Ideas and Showing Results, is supported by the following five tracks:
1. Opening Up Education
2. Learners at the Center of Assessment
3. Bridging the Digital Divide through Emerging Literacies
4. Scaffolding Systemness
5. Developmental Education: Improving the Learning Continuum
We are currently experiencing a revolution in higher education that is being transformed by emerging technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning. This year’s Conference on Instruction and Technology (CIT) 2013 will examine these radical changes through a collective conversation among active participants within our own SUNY community. CIT 2013 will engage our faculty, administrators, instructional designers, librarians, and professionals in dialogue about the future of education. We will examine the theory and practice of teaching and learning in today’s blended and online classrooms, virtual spaces, and social media environment. This year’s conference will also explore innovative assessment strategies as we share the ideas and show the results of these efforts.
Join us for CIT 2013 on the campus of SUNYIT, May 21-24, 2013.
Note: We regret that due to unforeseen circumstances Chancellor Zimpher will not be available to speak at CIT.
