Welcome to the Conference on Data Analysis, CoDA 2020

Join us for the Conference on Data Analysis, highlighting data-driven problems of interest to the Department of Energy. Talks and posters will feature research from the Department of Energy national laboratories, academia, and industry.

Held in even-numbered years since 2012, CoDA is hosted by the Statistical Sciences Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory. 

Key dates:

  • October 16, 2019: DOE lock date — DOE-affiliated people, get your CoDA travel request to your organization by this date.
  • January 21, 2020: Deadline for submitting your poster abstract.
  • January 24, 2020: Deadline for booking your hotel room at the CoDA rate. (If rooms are still available, you can continue to use this link even though the deadline has passed.)
  • February 25-27, 2020: CoDA!
  • June 13, 2020: Deadline for submitting your manuscript to be considered for the special CoDA journal issue.

Poster Sessions: Abstracts Due January 21, 2020

The two poster sessions at CoDA will showcase data-focused work arising from a wide range of application areas:

  1. Our poster session and opening mixer on the first evening will feature student and postdoc research.
  2. The poster session and dinner mixer on Day 2 will present work by more senior researchers.

 

Student poster prize: The American Statistical Association's Section on Defense and National Security will sponsor a poster prize for full-time students: $400 first place, $100 second place. Winners will be announced on Day 2 of the conference.


Publication opportunity: The American Statistical Association journal Statistical Analysis and Data Mining will publish a special issue featuring work presented at CoDA 2020. All poster presenters and invited speakers can submit a paper by June 13, 2020 to be considered for this peer reviewed special issue.

  • Data Science on Novel Computing Architectures
  • Quantitative Social-Behavioral Science at the National Laboratories
  • Scientific Machine Learning
