Question: What is Columbia Alumni Leaders Weekend?
Answer:

Leaders Weekend is an annual opportunity for Columbia's alumni leaders to convene from around the world, from all Schools, and across the many programs that call upon our alumni to lead the University forward. The weekend is an occasion for volunteer recognition, University updates, skill-building, and sharing of best practices.

Question: When is the conference?
Answer: October 4-6, 2019
Question: Who can attend?
Answer: Registration is limited to alumni volunteers and leaders. Guests may attend the CAA Alumni Medalist Gala only.
Question: How much does it cost?
Answer:

The weekend sessions, keynotes, receptions, breakfasts, and lunches are free, and the Alumni Medalist Gala has a fee that is dependent on your registration type. Recent Alumni and Students: $75 Alumni, Faculty, and Staff: $125 Non-alumni Guests $225

Question: How do I know if I am a recent alumni?
Answer: Recent alumni are identified as anyone who graduated from any Columbia School between 2009 and 2019.
Question: What is the refund policy?
Answer: Cancellations received before 11:59 p.m. EST on September 15, 2019 will be fully refunded.
Cancellations received after 11:59 p.m. EST on September 15, 2019 will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations/refunds will not be issued after 11:59 p.m. EST, September 30, 2019.
Question: How do I modify my agenda?
Answer:

Step 1: Click “Already Registered” at the top right corner of your screen next to Register Now Step 2: Enter the email address you used to register. Enter your registration confirmation number (found in your registration confirmation email). Click “OK” to proceed Step 3: Once logged in, select ‘Modify’ from the top navigation. Step 4: Make modification as necessary. Click the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of each page to proceed. Step 5: Once you have made all modifications, select ‘Finish’ from the Summary page.

Question: Is there a mobile app?
Answer: Yes! The app will be released two weeks prior to the conference. You will receive an email when it is available to download.
Question: What is the weather like in New York in October?
Answer: Temperate. We suggest dressing in layers as a majority of the conference spaces are air-conditioned.
Question: What is the attire?
Answer: The recommended dress code is business casual. The Alumni Medalist Gala is festive cocktail.
Question: What if I have dietary restrictions?
Answer: There is an opportunity to indicate special dietary restrictions during the registration process.
Question: Will the Columbia Alumni Center be open during the weekend?
Answer: The Columbia Alumni Center (CAC), 622 West 113th Street, will be open between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Question: What is CAA Leadership Books?
Answer: The University Bookstore will be hosting a table featuring books on leadership during CALW. If any of your alumni or faculty has written a book on leadership please forward information to Cynthia Wood so that their work may be considered. Answer:

CAA Arts Access serves as an alumni arts hub, providing exclusive access to programs, information, and communities. Membership is free for all Columbia alumni. Join CAA Arts Access and help create a community that shares your passion for the arts.

Question: Where can I park?
Answer: Parking is located at the 118th Street Terrace Garage. When you arrive, please tell security you are attending Columbia Alumni Leaders Weekend, and you will be granted a parking space.
Question: When is the last day you can modify your registration?
Answer:

The last day to modify your registration is September 30.

Question: Didn't get into the session you hoped for because it was full?
Answer: Join the wait list, if the wait list is full stop by the session when it starts to see if there is room. We will do our best to accommodate everyone and allow attendees to go to the sessions they are most interested in.
