YOUTHS WHO SEXUALLY OFFEND:
Good Assessments Guide Effective Interventions Training Objectives
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Describe common characteristics of youths who offend sexually.
• Identify relevant risk factors and intervention needs that, if effectively addressed, may reduce the likelihood of re-offending.
• Identify essential components of risk and needs assessments for adolescents who have offended sexually and common pitfalls and corrective strategies in risk and needs assessments;
• Score and interpret the J-SOAP II reliably;
• Use the J-SOAP II to guide decision-making and treatment recommendations responsibly and effectively.
