This ½ day CompTIA Security+ Module is for those professionals who want to gain continuing education units (CEU ) in order to renew their certification.
The CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) course introduces you to advanced security implementations and strategies use for full enterprise implementations. It is also the main course you will take to prepare you for the CAS-001 exam. As an IT professional, you may have experience in networking, network security, network administration, as well as implementing basic security services on any type of computer or network. As an Advanced Security Practitioner, you must be able to apply security across all levels of an organization, not just at the networking and hardware levels. Security measures and controls must be implemented with business objectives in mind, and should align with a business' strategic goals.
You may earn up to 40 of the 50 CEU's required for the CompTIA Security+ certification renewal using CompTIA Approved Quality Content (CAQC). We will be using the next level certification courseware above Security+ which is the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) courseware.
