Confined Space and Trenching Safety
To effectively control the risk associated with working in a confined space or trench, employees need to have proper safety equipment and training. It is everyone's responsibility to follow policies, procedures, and safe practices.
Confined Space and Trenching Safety provides up-to-date information and safety reminders for working in or around confined spaces and trenches.
Goals and Objectives: Confined Space and Trenching Safety will address the needs of various operations and departments, including Public Works, Utilities, Streets, Drainage, Water/Wastewater Treatment, Parks and Recreation, and other related field or maintenance positions.
Topics will include:
Who Should Attend: Entry level employees, crew leaders, supervisors, and managers
Note: Fire Department personnel may receive Level 2 continuing education credit. Volunteer firefighters may receive State Firemen's & Fire Marshals' Association certification (SFFMA) credit.
