Program Description:
This session will present best practices in recruiting and retaining top quality volunteers to help your non-profit accomplish the projects you really NEED to get done, increasing your capacity to fulfill your mission. Topics covered will include:

• How to discover what your organization needs in terms of volunteering, and how to best identify projects that are good for volunteer support
• Best practices in volunteer recruitment, retention, acknowledgement, and fulfillment
• Best practices in working with volunteers from different generations – how to effectively communicate and engage each generation to use their talents.

Speaker(s):
The session will be led by Trudy Harris and Cynthia Woods from Team Giving. Team Giving is a local non-profit dedicated to connecting area volunteers with non-profits and providing full-service, no-cost volunteer management services for non-profits. Together, Trudy and Cynthia have more than 25 years of non-profit experience in administration, marketing, fundraising, and volunteer recruitment and management. They founded Team Giving in early 2016, and by the end of 2016, after just 10 months of operation, had coordinated 529 volunteers who completed nearly 2,000 volunteer hours and 79 projects benefiting 38 non-profits.

Walk-ins are welcome but please note the cost at the door:
o Members - $35
o Regular - $50

Prepayment & Refund Policy:
AFPCCC hereby establishes the policy that attendance will be paid in advance by credit card. For members and attendees who want to pay by check, checks will need to be received one week before the event in order for them to be considered registered.
