Welcome to CORE, the start to your PhD Career Continuum journey here at Grant Thornton LLP. CORE is the first step towards a career long commitment to continuous learning.
CORE is the foundational level of the overarching PhD Career Continuum Program. CORE is strategically aligned with our Associate Experience Program (AEP) and our Tax Business Line (TBL) strategy. The end goals being that you are prepared to provide an unparalleled client experience, demonstrate operational excellence, and drive revenue growth through identification of potential business opportunities and be on the track to success with technology.
We’re investing in our people to accelerate career advancement and internally grow our talent. We designed CORE with you in mind, by evaluating the old and developing the new. CORE contains online self-study courses, group live sessions full of interaction and discussion, a tradeshow expo, and many hands on case studies and other resources right at your fingertips. All of these resources will help support you on your path to becoming the captain of your career.
You’ll have the option to elect into one of five learning tracks with guidance from your coach and resource managers. Once you have selected your chosen track, it’s time to start your prework. All the information can be found under Syllabus by Track. These courses have been selected by our firm’s subject matter experts (“SME”) and tax business line (“TBL”) learning liaisons to build your technical skills. Operational excellence is a focal point in all we do at Grant Thornton LLP. Technical competencies help us deliver the highest quality services to our clients. All prework will need to be completed prior to attending CORE Live so you are prepared for the training sessions at the event.
CORE Live will kick-off January 8 to 11, 2017 in Atlanta, GA and this is where we work collaboratively to prepare you to provide distinctive client service. On the first day you will have breakout sessions according to your chosen track. You’ll be in groups diving deeper into concepts, tools, technology and experiences with your peers.
Over the next two days you’ll rotate between the Opportunities Expo and professional learning. In the Opportunities Expo you’ll learn about select tax service offerings within our Tax Business Lines (TBLs). We want to provide you with the background you need to learn from the start of your career how to spot opportunities, expand our service offerings to existing clients by focusing on delivering solutions, and be part of our revenue growth.
We’re proud of our brand. Grant Thornton LLP stands out in our chosen markets, we’ve built a global reputation as an influential and responsible firm, the firm of choice for dynamic organization.
