Jane Pauley - Tuesday Opening Session

A familiar face on television and one of broadcasting’s most respected journalists, Jane Pauley is host of CBS Sunday Morning. Ms. Pauley began her network career as co-host of TODAY for 13 years, anchored Dateline NBC for more than a decade and hosted her own daytime program, The Jane Pauley Show. Ms. Pauley is the recipient of multiple Emmys, the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism, and the Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding achievement. She has written two New York Times bestsellers. A memoir, Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue (2004) and Your Life Calling: Reimagining the Rest of Your Life (2014). A longtime advocate in children’s health and education, Ms. Pauley is on the Board of Directors of Children's Health Fund and The Mind Trust. A highly regarded spokesman in mental health, Ms. Pauley is a member of the Leadership Board of the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT.

 


Reverend Jeffrey Brown- Wednesday General Session

Rev. Jeffrey Brown was one of the key architects behind the “Boston Miracle,” which saw the violent crime rate among youth plummet by 79 percent over a decade. The efforts also spawned countless urban collaborative efforts in subsequent years. Today, he works with faith groups, local government, and police to stop gang violence as the president of RECAP and co-founder of My City at Peace. He speaks on “collaborative leadership,” community building, and what it takes to institute real change in organizations of all stripes. Rev. Brown has also been working with housing authorities to rebuild communities in distressed areas and avoid the more damaging effects of gentrification.


 Aneesh Chopra - Thursday Luncheon

Aneesh Chopra is the former (and first) U.S. Chief Technology Officer. As an Assistant to the President, he designed the National Wireless Initiative, helped launch Startup America and executed an "open innovation" strategy across the government built on private sector collaboration. He is the author of the forthcoming book, Innovative State: How New Technologies can Transform Government, that focusses on how we can tap entrepreneurial problem solvers to address challenges in health, energy and education markets among other public and regulated sectors. Mr. Chopra is currently the co-founder and executive vice president of Hunch Analytics, a startup focused on improving the productivity of public and regulated sectors of the economy through data analytics.
