Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) will be hosting two, one-and-a-half day training seminars in your choice of Cheyenne or Riverton to discuss (1) updates to Perkins 5, (2) changes in WYCTE data collection, (3) a question-and-answer period and more information about NOCTI assessment and (4) training on SCED codes. These different topics will be discussed in breakout session format to accommodate your role in the district.Please bring your computer and current CTE SCED code list to the training, as this will be a live and hands-on training session to teach the use of the applications and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.We recommend Perkins coordinators, NOCTI site coordinators, co-coordinators, those in charge of entering SCED codes and setting up course pathways, and anyone responsible for Perkins data entry to attend if possible.The Riverton seminar will be from 8 AM to 5 PM January 11, 2017 and from 8 AM until noon January 12, 2017 at the Holiday Inn, 900 E. Sunset Dr. in Riverton. Lunch the days of the seminar is the responsibility of the attendees. Lodging on January 10 and 11 will be provided by the WDE. Room reservations must be made before December 21, 2016 by calling the Holiday Inn Riverton at (307) 856-8100 and mentioning WDE.The Cheyenne seminar will be from 12:30 PM until 5 PM January 12, 2017, and from 8 AM to 5 PM January 13, 2017 at Laramie County Community College, 1400 E. College Dr. in Cheyenne. Like in Riverton, lunch the days of the seminar is the responsibility of the attendees. Lodging in Cheyenne for January 12 and 13 will be provided by the WDE at the Radisson, 204 W. Fox Farm Rd.
