The November 11 preconference, Finding Lost Milk, sponsored by Novus International, Inc., will emphasize increasing profitability with relatively small investments and changes. Lecture topics in the general session on November 12 include sessions on starch and NDF interactions, the dairy market outlook, and immune function of transition cows. Breakout sessions will explore these subjects and more; a wide variety of topics from mineral and fatty acid nutrition to undigested NDF, forage decisions that affect income over feed costs, extending the life of dairy facilities, corn silage, transition cow comfort, heat stress, calf feeding systems, and much more. Feed Components will sponsor a Wednesday evening session with a presentation by Tom Overton. On Thursday, November 12, the breakfast session sponsored by Micronutrients will explore trace mineral variation in forages, and Balchem Corporation will sponsor a post conference focused on making milk protein.

Certification exams for ARPAS will be offered, and the conference is approved for continuing education credits for ARPAS members and veterinarians. In addition, ARPAS members are invited to participate in a special, members-only lunch on Wednesday and workshop on Thursday with presentations by Mary Beth Hall.

In addition to the educational sessions, a trade show is offered featuring approximately 60 companies that serve the nutrition industry.

In cooperation with the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Animal Health and Productivity, we are again pleased to offer an expanded program. Plan to join us Tuesday, November 10 for a session focused on using the UPENN Dairy Ration Analzyer.

We strive to present practical and timely issues for the dairy feed and nutrition industry, and our attendees consistently rank this training opportunity as one of the premier events in the Northeast.
