Making a Plan and Sourcing Financial Resources for
Financing Community and Economic Development
Hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, these Delta Communities meetings will bring together local leaders to discuss the many ways to finance community and economic development projects in the Arkansas and Mississippi Delta.
Creating a plan for financing community and economic development can be very complex. This session will explore what lenders look for as they evaluate the funding potential of initiatives, including data sources, different sources of capital, current trends in community development finance, and using the concept of “strategic doing” to create actionable community plans. Participants will learn about the funding sources available at the local, state and federal levels, as well as how it often takes a combination of several types of funding to fully capitalize different community and economic development projects.
These meetings are very similar in format and content; please register for either the event in Greenwood or the one in Helena.
Participation is free; however, registration is required as space is limited. Lunch will be provided.
