Dear Food Science Alumni, Families, and Friends,

Please join us for our annual Food Science Tailgate on Saturday, October 1st. 

Our tailgate is one of the highlights of the academic year and is sponsored by the Food Science Club, our alumni and friends in the Food Industry Group (FIG), and the Department’s faculty and staff.  A fun event before the game and an opportunity to reconnect with alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students while learning what’s new on campus and in the department.  All tailgate proceeds support the activities of our Food Science Club.  We hope to see you here! 

This year our tailgate will be held prior to the game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. 

Our day will start with the FIG Fall Update Meeting that will include FIG and departmental updates and the presentation of the FIG Student Leadership Awards.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the FIG Meeting and afterwards mix and mingle with our students, faculty and staff.  The tailgate will feature FIG’s Silent Auction, and a student prepared menu that’s the envy of our college.  We will offer good food, friends, and conversation until it’s time to head to Beaver Stadium to cheer our Nittany Lions on to victory. 

The cost for tailgate tickets is $32 per person and $10 for children ages 6 to 12.  Children under 5 are free.  We have a block of football tickets in section ECU available on a first-come, first-served basis at $75 per ticket.  Game tickets must be purchased with an accompanying tailgate ticket.  If you already have tickets for the game, please still join us for the FIG meeting and tailgate.

Due to changes in ticket policies, we have a limited block of football tickets and may not be able to purchase additional tickets once the block is sold out.  If you want football tickets, please complete your tailgate and football ticket registration as early as possible.
