full day of learning space emersion participants will visit three re-designed
school sites while participating in a full day, "Learning Space
Design Workshop." What does that mean? Participants will experience each
learner, they will see how innovative spaces can positively amplify learning
their own space
Educator, Co-Author of the book, "Spaces, a Guide for Educators" and
Learning Space Designer, Rebecca
We will discuss how each space was designed and why choices were made while
reflecting on, and
our own designs. Participants will leave the workshop with a clear vision,
design ideas, items to
re-purpose and plan for implementation for their own learning space.

Schools, and a learning space designer. Rebecca has a BFA in industrial
The European Design Institute in Milan, Italy and a M.A.T. in art from Fontbonne University,
St. Louis. She worked in Italy for ten years as a design consultant and creative
director, creating spaces and designing products (from MRI machines and coffee
to hair brushes) for
companies before becoming fascinated with education. She
