Direct Anterior Total Hip Arthroplasty with the ANTHOLOGY & R3 Systems Course
Course attendees will be taught the direct anterior approach, which allows immediate weight bearing, preservation of the posterior soft tissues to prevent dislocation and rapid muscle recovery due to preservation of the abductor and “deltoid” mechanism of the hip. The course will cover in-depth instruction on the direct anterior surgical approach, with and without the Hana table. The training program includes surgical demonstrations, didactic sessions and hands-on cadaveric training. Participants will have opportunities to speak with and question thought leaders about the Direct Anterior Approach to the hip.
At the conclusion of each program, attendees should:
• Have an understanding of the benefits of Direct Anterior Hip Replacement
• Be able to perform Direct Anterior Hip Replacement with confidence• Understand the surgical techniques for ANTHOLOGY and R3 hip systems
