Question: Registration Email Address - only one registration per each email address

Our online registration system uses email addresses as a unique identifier.

We are only able to use one unique email for each person registering. We apologize if this is an inconvenience.

We are happy to take your registration over the phone without an email address at 206-363-5500 ext. 8170.

Question: Catering - What are the lunch choices for the full-day conference on March 8, 2019?

We are offering box lunches this year and you will be able to select from ONE of the following:


Please select the box lunch that best meets your dietary needs.  We are not able to customize box lunches.

  • Salads: Please read salad read descriptions carefully.
  • Includes: a house made roll, whole seasonal fruit and house made cookie.
    • WA Smoked Chicken Salad (GF) – Green Beans, Sweet Corn, Samish Bay Goat Cheese, Farro, Butter Lettuce, Sweet Onion Vinaigrette 
    • Grilled Salmon Salad (LF, GF) – Roasted Cauliflower, Apple Melange, Watercress Vinaigrette on a Bed of Bibb Lettuce 
  • Sandwich Includes whole seasonal fruit and house made cookie.
    • Smoked Turkey Sandwich – Smoked turkey, Gouda, mayonnaise, roma tomato, lettuce, rustic multigrain bread 
  • Vegetarian, Vegan, Lactose Free, Gluten Free Salad served with whole seasonal fruit
    • Northwest Nicoise Salad (GF, LF, Vegan, V) – Herbed, grilled Portobello, fingerling potato salad, haricots verts, local tomatoes, olives, red wine vinaigrette

Question: Catering - Special Dietary Requests
Answer: Please select the lunch choice that meets your dietary needs.  We are not able to create individual meals.  Please read the ingredient list in the lunch choice section.
Question: Catering - What if I have a food allergy?

Please select the box lunch choice that best meets your dietary requirements.  Detailed descriptions can be found in the FAQ catering section.

If you have a genuine food allergy, please indicate it on your registration and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Question: Continuing Education Credits - CEs - Are continuing education (CE) certificates available?

Attendees who register as professionals or as Alzheimer’s Association support group facilitators can obtain an attendance certificate for five (5) continuing education hours by attending the keynote and three (3) sessions.

If you are any catagory of nurse in the state of Washingtion, the Attenance CE certificate is all that is required.

The CE Certificate is free of charge.

Please refer to the CE & CEU web page for complete information.  

If you work for DSHS Long Term Care, we provide a separate certificate with their specific approval information.  The certificate is free of charge.

Question: CE or CEUs - Are CE or CEUs available to family caregivers?
Answer: No, we are not offering family caregivers continuing education units or hours. If you require continuing education units or credits, then you need to register at the professional rate.
Question: CEUs for certified professionals. Is there a fee for CEUs and what categories of professionals are you offering CEUs (Continuing Education Units)?

There will be a fee of $25 for pre-approved CEUs offered for 1) Guardians, 2) Social Workers, 3) Activity Professionals, and 4) Certified Case Managers for the keynote and three workshops.

If you attend the entire full-day conference, it is considered five (5) CEUs. If you are a Guardian, the content area of all workshops is “person”.

You must sign in and out of the keynote and workshops to get credit for them from the above organizations.

Question: Payment - Are family caregiver scholarships available?

Depending on donor provided scholarships we MAY have scholarships available. If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, please contact us at with your request. We maintain a wait list and scholarships are provided on a first come, first served basis.

Question: Payment - Can I pay by check?

Yes, you can pay by check. When you register online you will be able to go through the entire web registration process and indicate payment by check and your check number. You can then mail the check to our office.

Credit cards are charged during the registration process. For checks,your registration is complete once we receive your check.

If you register via mail, please include the registration form  and use one form per registration. If you plan to send a check, we would appreciate knowing in case it does not arrive.

Question: Payment - What credit cards to you accept?

We accept Visa and MasterCard.

Question: Payment - How do I cancel my registration?

You can cancel your registration on the conference website.

We do not offer refunds.

Question: Payment - How do I obtain a receipt?

If you register online and require a receipt, email us at and we will email one to you.

Question: Payment - Parking Fees

You are responsible for paying your own parking fees.  Parking fees are NOT included in your registration.

On the Location page and Directions page of the website you will find a link with convention center parking rates and information on local parking garages and buses..

Parking fees are paid when you leave the Convention Center garage. There are a variety of parking facilities around the Convention Center.

Question: Payment - Since you are not offering refunds, how do I substitute someone else?

You can substitute someone else by emailing or calling us at 206-363-5500 ext. 8170 by February 20, 2019.

Question: Registration - Can I register online?

Answer: YES!  You can register online quickly and easily and we encourage you to use our online registration system @ This system will allow you to return and make changes to your registration, sign up for sessions and find the most current conference information.  

Question: Registration - How will I know if I am registered?

If you register online and provide credit card payment, you will receive an immediate email confirmation. If you register by telephone or mail, we will mail or email your confirmation to you.  If you have a question, please contact us at or 206-363-5500 ext. 8170.

Question: Registration - How do I obtain a brochure, a registration form, or driving directions?

All brochure information is included on our conference website: including registration and door to door driving directions.  A pdf of our conference brochure is accessible on the website at the bottom of the sponsor page.

Question: Registration - I do not have a computer; can I register by telephone, mail or fax?

You can register by mailing in your registration form with payment or by calling us. We do not accept registrations by fax. Without an email address you will not be able to create an account and make changes to your registration but can take care of your request via phone at 206-363-5500 ext. 8170.

Question: Registration - Is group registration available?
Answer: Group registration is available for Professional registrations. You will need to know unique email addresses, contact information and session and meal choices for each of the people you are registering. Each person registered may then sign in to access their individual account and make any changes they would like. As the administrator you can have visibility into their registrations.
Question: Registration - When does early registration end?

Early Bird registration ends on January 16, 2019 at midnight. Standard registration begins on January 17, 2019. Mail-in registration ends on February 28, 2019 and online registration closes March 1, 2019 at 12 noon. After this date we will have walk-in registration at the conference on a space available basis.
