Diversity & Inclusion: New Approaches for Organizational Success

July 13, 2017
1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
The evidence is clear: the old school way of “doing diversity” in organizations doesn’t work.
However, far from debunking all diversity work as useless, the evidence is also clear the “new school” approach yields superior results, even for the bottom line!  “Doing diversity” is now necessary for organizational success and high performance, yet few leaders understand the real reasons to do it – much less how.  Considering the demographics, values and work style of the Millennial generation – the largest in human history – doing diversity right is going to make or break organizations in the 21st Century.  However, few have developed the critical inclusive leadership and communication skills to adapt.
In this dynamic and interactive session, come hear the startling real reasons why “doing diversity” is necessary, yet so difficult!  You will learn the key characteristics of inclusive leaders and workplaces, explore one practical tool for effectively navigating human differences at work, conduct an assessment of your current organization and create an action plan for implementing “New School D&I” in your work life.
By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Understand the difference between “old school” and “new school” approaches to diversity in the workplace
