DR - Phase 1 Training - April 2018

Summary

SBTC Disaster Relief Training for those people who want to be able to help after a disaster strikes. You must meet certain qualification to be trained.

PLEASE NOTE

-Online Registration Deadline is April 6th, 2018 . We close online registration early to ensure we have enough staff to serve you.

-If no one is pre-registered for a certain area of ministry, we will shut that class down to save on costs.

-Registration at the door is available the day of the event for an additional fee
New Volunteer- $30
Re-certification- $15
Area of Ministry Only- $15
If you register at the door there is a chance that the class you are interested may not be available. That's why it's important to register online!

Required for all disaster relief volunteers

-Introduction to Southern Baptists of Texas Disaster Relief

-Basic Manual in selected ministry area (clean-up/recovery, feeding, assessment, shower/ laundry, chaplaincy, childcare, or communications)

-Hands on Training in selected ministry area

-Yellow Hat is awarded for the completion of Phase I Training

-All Disaster Relief volunteers must be re-certified every three years

-Recerts must attend Intro to Disaster Relief Session.

-ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST MAKE THEIR OWN HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS!

Details

A. To volunteer to be trained as an SBTC Disaster Relief Volunteer, YOU MUST :

- Be an active member of a Southern Baptist church.

- Have a letter of recommendation from the Pastor on church letterhead for the individual(s) from that church.

- Be at least 18 years old.

- Be in good health.

- Have a servant heart.
