The U.S. Forest Service’s Pacific Northwest and Pacific Southwest Research Stations are conducting a Northwest Forest Plan (NWFP) science synthesis. The synthesis, to be published in 2017, will help to provide a science foundation for land management plans for 17 national forests within the NWFP area.
The science synthesis has been identified as a highly influential science document as defined by the Office of Management and Budget, leading to special peer review and public engagement activities. The public can provide input on the science content of the draft synthesis to a group of independent peer reviewers in two ways—through participation at a December public forum and through submission of input here via this Web site.
To participate in the forum, click on the “RSVP to Forum” button. To submit written input, click on the “Submit Input” button.
