Dear EATA Colleagues!
I am excited once again to welcome you as President-Elect to the Registration Site for the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association’s Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium. This year marks the 71st year that we have come together for the opportunity to learn, network and the chance to celebrate the accomplishments of our members and distinguished friends. The EATA Executive Board, Conference Planning Group, Research Committee and Student Delegation have worked hard this year to bring you more options than ever. You will have the opportunity throughout the Conference to explore more options; including workshops and specialty sessions earlier and later in the day. As always, our Research Committee has helped us select excellent evidence based practice offerings for the general sessions and workshops. The site of our 71st meeting, the Valley Forge Casino Resort, is ready to welcome our EATA Colleagues back on January 11th to what promises to be another outstanding meeting.
Please take a moment to review the 2019 Compendium which includes information about the Inaugural EATA Summit – Pre-Concussion Sport-Related Pre-Conference Event (6 EBPs), a variety of other pre-conference workshops, and general Sessions and special events. This year’s meeting features a number of national and international experts as well some familiar faces from our membership. The Main Program offers members the opportunity to earn a total of 18.0 continuing education units (CEUs) of which six are scheduled to be evidence based. An additional 15 EBPs and 14 Category A offerings are available for pre-conference and off-schedule registration at this year’s meeting as well! There is something for everyone at this year’s EATA!
We are honored to welcome Dr. Kevin Guskiewicz as our 2019 William E. “Pinky” Newell speaker. Kevin will also be participating in the Inaugural EATA Summit on Sport-Related Concussion. In addition to Dr. Guskiewicz, Dr. Tom Kaminski has assembled a Team of leading concussion researches and practitioners from across the Country to share their expertise and hands-on skills with our members. This exciting event will be held on January 11th from 3pm-9pm. Dinner is included but space is limited to register early!
Please note the following days and times as you plan to join us in Valley Forge!
Reserve you place for the 2019 EATA Meeting and Clinical Symposium Early!
