Who should attend:
The course involves laboratory/clinical review only. (A didactic

--Registering for both days meets the remediation requirement for auxiliaries who have not passed the certifying exam after two attempts.
--The one-day option is available to individuals who are not required to meet a remediation requirement to take the certifying exam.
Both days will include a "mock board" experience, simulating the testing experience.

The course fees include all written materials and prepared typodont teeth. Typodont experiences will involve use of the Kilgore typodont. Participants are asked to supply the typodont. Be sure your typodont has all unprepared teeth in the proper position. Prepped teeth are provided for mock board and practice experiences. Please feel free to bring any teeth that you have previously restored for instructor feedback.
You must bring any instruments, supplies, or materials you wish to use to practice for the board exam. This includes amalgam, composite and finishing/polishing materials. Amalgamators and curing lights will be provided as part of this review course only.
NOTE: IF NECESSARY, YOU MAY BORROW A TYPODONT AND INSTRUMENTS FOR USE DURING THE COURSE ONLY. WE WILL NOT LOAN OR RENT INSTRUMENTS OR EQUIPMENT FOR USE DURING THE OHIO BOARD EXAMINATION. CANDIDATES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING EVERYTHING EXCEPT TYPODONTS FOR THE BOARD.
You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the day. If you are required to take this training before you retake the Ohio exam, we suggest that you notify the Commission on Dental Testing in Ohio (CODT) or Commission on Dental Competency Assessments (CDCA) that you are scheduled to take this review course; and send them a copy of your certificate of completion following the course.
