EIV: A to Z with AHMA-NCH in Oakland - June 11, 2018

EIV is not some new type of Drone! EIV has become a part of our daily lives at HUD properties. It can be a great tool, or a time-consuming headache that leads to MOR findings and sanctions. Take this basic overview to understand how the EIV system works, and how to use it in an effective and efficient manner.

The purpose of the Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) function within the Real Estate Assessment (REAC) Center is to ensure that limited Federal resources are available to serve as many eligible families as possible by reducing the high incidence of program errors and to improve the integrity and accuracy of information contained in the PIC and EIV systems.

Topics covered include: How EIV works; EIV Security; gaining access to EIV; EIV policies; how and when to print reports; reading, interpreting and reconciling reports (including the Income Discrepancy Report); and showing compliance. Hands on exercises and case studies will be used.

Remember to bring your pen and paper to this class.
