Children experience the world differently, and those differences can be greater for children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Military life comes with its own set of unique challenges, which can impact how children experience the world. The understanding and support of early childhood professionals can strengthen the skills of children with autism and increase the capacity of their families. In this 90-minute webinar, Tara Forth, Professional Development Manager with Sesame Workshop, will share the Sesame Street and Autism and Sesame Street for Military Families initiatives, along with resources within these initiatives for professionals, young children, and their families. She also will discuss strategies that help families build resilience and optimism.
