Engaging students with low level English skills
The aim of every classroom is to activate learning. Students with low level skills can be limited in confidence, skills and abilities to practically engage in the classroom. In this practical workshop we will explore ways of developing literacy skills and engaging learners.
We will discuss and cover issues such as how to get students to contribute, activities that all can participate in and how to shift from a teacher centric approach to learning. All topics will involve input from the participants so that we get a wide range of ideas and discussion as well as including specific skill building strategies.
