A fundraising toolkit will be sent to registered walkers.

You may collect donations online, offline, or both.

Collecting Online Donations
Here are some options for your donors to contribute online:

Through a personal fundraising webpage that you set up
There are several websites that allow you to set up an online fundraiser and provide you with sharing tools. One platform we suggest is Razoo. To get started, visit www.razoo.com/story/Apfed and click the button on the page that reads "Start a fundraiser"

Tips for Creating a Personalized Fundraising Page for this Walk

Set your goal: How much money would you like to raise? (We suggest a minimum of $250)

Name your page. Use something that will easily identify yourself or loved one to your contributors. Example: Wendy's Warriors, Gage's Gang, etc.

Decide whether you would like to use email or your social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter)

Tell your story. This is your opportunity to help people understand what you and your family struggle with every day.

Set duration of your fundraising page. We suggest July 15th so that people will have a little additional time to donate to your efforts.

Hit the "Publish" button

Share your link on social media and through email

Through APFED’s website
Invite donors to visit apfed.org and follow prompts to “Donate Today”. Click the drop down box under “Select a campaign” and choose the Greenville, SC Walk option. Ask them to include your name and information in the “In Honor of” section so that we may help you track your efforts.

Collecting Offline Donations
Use the pledge sheet to record all donations (include donor’s address so that we may send an acknowledgement), and turn them in onsite at the conference. A copy of this pledge sheet is included in the fundraising toolkit sent to registered walkers. Donations will be accepted onsite on Friday, July 8 at the following stations:

  • Hyatt Regency at APFED Gift Store between 8:30am-3:00pm
  • Hyatt Regency at Walk-Check in table at 6:00pm.
  • Onsite at the park at 6:30pm.

Good luck with your fundraising efforts and thank you for supporting research!
