Summary

Dear European EPRI Members and Invited Guests,

I would like to personally invite you to the EPRI Information, Communication and Cyber Security (ICCS) 2016 European Engagement Summit, hosted by ESB Networks, in Dublin Ireland.  This is our second annual conference in Europe focusing on the innovations and challenges facing utilities in the areas of Information and Communication Technology and Cyber Security and offering insight into the exciting research EPRI is doing in these areas, as well as sharing how other European utilities are preparing for and adapting to the evolution of the electric power industry.

Last year’s conference setup included 2 tracks: Cyber Security and Information, Communication Technology.  The Cyber Security Track focused on Risk Management in Practice – A Guide for the Electric Sector; Security Posture Assessment for Operations Technology and Control Systems; Improving Network and System Management for Substations and Field Devices; Centralized Threat Management – Integrating IT, OT, and Physical Security Events for Enterprise-Wide Situational Awareness.

The Information, Communication Technology Track included discussions on Augmented Reality in Utility Operations; Advanced Metering System Data Usage and Prognostics; Open, Interoperable Advanced Metering System Development; Communication Standards for Demand Response and Distributed Energy Resources.

We are finalizing the details of this year's agenda to ensure the topics are just as relevant, timely and insightful as last year.

Please plan to join us.

Matt Wakefield
Director, Information, Communication and Cyber Security (ICCS)
