EPRI invites you to join us this spring for Power Quality Week 2018. Starting on Monday and running through Friday, the week will include a workshop about the new IEEE 1668 voltage sag standard, followed by four days of advanced power quality training. Also that week, the Inaugural PQ Metering Users Group and the Open PQ Dashboard Users Group will meet.Workshop: Applying the New IEEE Std. 1668, Monday, April 23rdOpen to the public, all are invited to attend this ¾ day workshop on the application of the new IEEE 1668 entitled “Recommended Practice for Voltage Sag and Short Interruption Ride-Through Testing for End-Use Electrical Equipment Rated Less than 1000 V.” The workshop will explain the entire standard, discuss how to apply, and solidify the concepts with live demonstrations. EPRI members can register through PQ-Week CVENT website. Other attendees should contact Angie Henegar to be registered manually. IEEE will offer a 10% discount to attendees of this workshop.
Week of Events The week of events are illustrated here.For the PQ Metering and Dashboard: Inaugural PQ Metering User Group Meeting, Tuesday, April 24, 2018This group was created from the need of utilities to share information around the best use, configuration, and deployment of PQ metering devices. This year’s meeting will focus on the ION series of PQ meters and template configurations. A representative from Schneider Electric will be on hand to present, answer questions, have an open discussion on utility experiences, and standardizing on template designs.Membership is free; however, attendance must be approved by EPRI. Registration will be through the PQ-Week CVENT website. For more information, please contact Tom Cooke.Open PQ Dashboard Users Group Meeting, Wednesday, April 25, 2018This user-group presents an opportunity for users and potential users to learn more about the Open PQ Dashboard and Dashboard concepts in general. The meeting will explore how the Open PQ Dashboard is being utilized by other utilities, and give guidance on future development. The meeting will start with the developers demonstrating the latest version—highlighting most recent improvements. Sample use cases will be presented from utilities that have deployed the dashboard. The day will wrap up with feedback and discussions on future development. Membership is not needed to attend; however, attendance must be approved by EPRI.
