Essential Elements of MAP-A
The DLM Essential Elements for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities were developed at each grade level, K-12, in areas of ELA, Math and Science. The Essential Elements are specific statements of knowledge and skills linked to grade-level academic content standards that yield student achievement and prepare students with the most significant cognitive disabilities for college and career readiness.
Participants will gain a greater understanding of Essential Elements (EE) in ELA, Mathematics, and Science. This session will address Essential Elements principles, implementation, and connection to the frameworks and how to integrate them into curriculum.
Audience: Special Education Teachers administering the MAP-A, Building Level Coordinators monitoring the DLM portal.
