Objective This two-day program provides the hands-on knowledge it takes to successfully execute projects of all sizes. A balanced mix of lecture, group exercises, and a project case study are used to illustrate the tools and develop the skills necessary to manage a project from beginning to end. Particular emphasis is placed on defining the customer's requirements and building a realistic schedule. The tools and principles taught in this program are in alignment on the Project Management Institute’s PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).

Are you interested in becoming certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP)? The PMP certification, established by the Project Management Institute (PMI), is one of the most valued and respected credentials in project management. Earning and maintaining this certification demonstrates a solid foundation of experience in effectively managing projects. The current application for PMP certification requires 35 hours of formal project management education in addition to between 4,500 - 7,500 hours of project management experience. Though this two-day Project Management program offered by Sinclair Community College is not presented as an exam preparation program, it will provide you with 14 hours of project management education towards the PMP application requirements.
